What must it feel like?

To carry the hopes and dreams of an entire race of people on your shoulders?
 
As much as I hate to say it, I know beyond a doubt that the next four weeks are going to be nasty. He's leading, and there are people who simply cannot stomach the idea of his beautiful family living in the White House. There will be smears, all sorts of slander and lies, the likes of which you've probably rarely seen. So y'all, we got to pray for this man. And please . . . make sure you VOTE!!! Vote early if you can!

Why do men think their stars, when their just playin a part..
They expect us to read their minds, and when we do, they claim we're WRONG, INSECURE, AND JEALOUS,
Well ladies it's not us it just these weak **** fella's

I'm sorry, I'm not mad - I'm just clearing my mind,
Men are the ones who like to lie all the time-

When we get to close to things , they don't want us to know,
they like to break down our minds,
even though they are the ones who's lying

I'm Sorry again, I'm not mad just trying to vent ( too much time that was not well spent)

Ladies I have come to realize that, when we ask the question, they look dumb
then they pick a fight with us ,and make an excuse to run
They say you made me do this, and you should have just mind your business
Then, say this is my life , and I do what I damn well please
But don't forget who was there for you when you were down on your knees............

I was there when you where sick, hungry and cold-

Life, a small word with a big meaning.....................................

Life throws us many low blows

but yet we must smile.

Life can be discouraging at times

but yet we must smile

The Lord says you are my child and we must endure for a while.

Life becomes a mess but we fail to realize that ,

we are the one's who can cause the most stress

and yet The Lord says " I love You" and you still will be blessed.

How could we go wrong, which such love in the Lords tone.

We are never alone,and the Lord is with us throught it all.

Yeah, I know life can be wrong, but we have to move on.

To me it's a challenge, and I refuse to stop dreaming.

I will continue to look forward, and I refuse to look back.

How I wish to forget about all the negatives in this life,

how unreal for me to say.

But this negative life, will not consume me another day.

You say man this is hard, and something just ain't right.

Who told you life would be fair ?

Now get your hands up and get prepared to fight.

Do your best to maintain. prepare yourself because,

there will be many days of rain, and many times of pain.

Stroke Empowerment Team (SET)

The American Stroke Association says these are the warning signs of stroke:

Stroke Warning Signs

• Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body   
• Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding   
• Sudden trouble seeing in one or both eyes   
• Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination   
• Sudden, severe headache with no known cause

If you or someone with you has one or more of these signs, don't delay! Immediately call 9-1-1 or the emergency medical services (EMS) number so an ambulance (ideally with advanced life support) can be sent for you. Also, check the time so you'll know when the first symptoms appeared. It's very important to take immediate action. If given within three hours of the start of symptoms, a clot-busting drug called tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) can reduce long-term disability for the most common type of stroke. tPA is the only FDA-approved medication for the treatment of stroke within three hours of stroke symptom onset.

"I was not aware of the huge numbers within the African-American community or the fact that we are disproportionately affected," she said. "The idea behind ‘Power' is that by simply being aware, people will begin to focus in a way that they haven't before, and that is the necessary first step. Through this initiative, the American Stroke Association is providing not only an opportunity for the African-American community to be educated, but also concrete steps that you can take to prevent strokes."

Power To End Stroke continues its mission in respectful remembrance of Yolanda King, who passed away in 2007.
