About Me
Rapper Flo Rida began a ninth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart Thursday, while R&B singers Chris Brown, Rihanna and Alicia Keys held fast to the next three spots.
One more week at No. 1, and "Low" will match Beyonce's 2006/07 chart-topper "Irreplaceable" and Kanye West and Jamie Foxx's 2005 hit "Gold Digger" as the longest-running champ since Mariah Carey's "We Belong Together" led the pack for 14 non-consecutive weeks earlier in 2005.
"Low" is the first single from Flo Rida's debut album "Mail on Sunday," which comes out March 18. Once again, it fended off challenges from Brown's "With You" at No. 2, Rihanna's "Don't Stop the Music" at No. 3, and Keys' "No One" at No. 4.
Sara Bareilles' "Love Song" inched up one to No. 5, trading places with Timbaland's "Apologize" featuring OneRepublic. Snoop Dogg's "Sensual Seduction" rose one to No. 7. Sean Kingston's "Take You There" (No. 8) and Buckcherry's "Sorry" (No. 9) were also up one. "Independent" by Webbie, Lil' Phat & Lil' Boosie jumped three to No. 10, the first top 10 hit for any of the artists.
The Hot 100's top debut came from Mariah Carey's "Touch My Body" at No. 57. It's the highest-debuting Carey single since "It's Like That" entered at No. 53 in January 2005 and it is the first Carey song to chart since "Say Somethin"' peaked at No. 79 in May 2006.
